Set of 2 Vintage Marcrest Daisy Dot Oven Proof USA Stoneware Mixing

We are offering two (2) Vintage Marcrest Daisy Dot Oven Proof USA Western Stoneware Mixing Bowls by Hull Pottery. The glaze finish is Warm Colorado Brown. It is incised on the bottom: "USA." The larger mixing bowl measures as listed. The smaller mixing bowl is 6 inches in diameter and 3 inches in height and depth. The mixing bowl set is in great vintage, decorative and collectible condition. No cracks and no noticeable crazing. This line was made in Monmouth, Illinois by Western Stoneware from the 1950s through the early 1960s. According to some, Louise Bauer, designer of the famous "Red Riding Hood" line from the Hull factory, designed the Daisy and Dot pattern. Marcrest Colorado Brown Oven-Proof Stoneware was available at Safeway, A & P, IGA, Loblaws, Jewel Food Stores, and Kroger Grocery Stores (and possibly through Top Value Stamps Redemption Centers) as premiums or give- aways half a century ago.
