Set of Four Superior Condition 9 Inch Diameter Salad / Dessert Plates by Roscher and Co. in the Hobnail Red Pattern
This is a set of four 9 inch diameter salad / dessert plates by Roscher & Company in the Hobnail pattern in red. This pattern has been retired. These plates are in superior used condition appearing to have seldom been used. There are no chips, no cracks, no stains, no haze, and no gray utensil marks. See pictures.
If you seek the style and quality of Roscher & Company dinnerware, then you will want this set of plates! These round scalloped edge plates have an old world style with the raised / embossed dots along the rim with a slightly antiqued look achieved with brushes of dark glaze. The rim scalloping continues to the body of plate creating a slightly raised petal-like dimension to the outer interior center. The plate bottom is satin black. The front of the plate is a deep red with a reactive glaze-like appearance of faint brownish black. Simply put...these plates are gorgeous! The plate dimensions are .75" H, 9" diameter, and weigh 1 lb. 5.7 oz. each. These items will be well packed in a heavy duty box to help ensure safe delivery.
