Vintage midcentury children's dinnerware by Arabia Finland. Pattern is often referred to as "Zoo" or "Parade of Animals". Original design 1949 by Anja Juurikkala, Finnish sculptor and ceramicist. S et of 8 bowls, 8 plates, and 4 mugs. These were collected over time, pattern is same, but production year may vary. Items feature the "crown stamp" mark used from 1949-1964 ( numbers in the stamp are the factory's own production codes, they do not indicate the production year or month). Bowls measure about 6.5" diameter, plates measure about 7-3/4" diameter, mugs measure about 3" diameter x 3" tall (excluding handle). Good vintage condition for these midcentury items. Colors are generally saturated across the set. The most notable condition issues are included in listing photos for 2 bowls, 2 plates, and 2 mugs (scratches in pattern, hairline crack, crazing, slightly faded color, and a factory surface imperfection in one mug).
