Genuine Vintage FIESTA 1938-1951 "RADIOACTIVE RED" 12½" PLATTER - Mint!.
Here is a beautiful Genuine Vintage Fiesta 12½ inch OVAL PLATTER in the original "Radioactive" Red glaze. These platters were introduced in 1938 and the Red glaze was discontinued in 1951 so they were produced for only 13 years. This platter is bright and glossy with a deep, rich and glossy red color. It is in MINT condition. No chips, cracks, scratches, pops or misses. Note that the white splotches in the photos are reflections of the camera flash.
I’ve been collecting Fiesta for over 40 years and have appraised Fiesta in years past. As such my Fiesta listings are longer and more precise than those I see from other sellers. My goal is to describe in meticulous detail the condition of each piece from the point of view of a collector. I hope this does not deter buyers from buying my pieces when they see little flaws revealed and perhaps buy inferior pieces from others who describe their wares in more general terms.
This platter is 12½ inches in length and 9 7/8 inches wide. Most platters on Ebay are "Post 86" wares which are closer to 13 inches in length. This platter is Genuine Vintage Fiesta from 1938 until 1951. It is clearly stamped "Genuine Fiesta...H.L.C...U.S.A."
