In 1958 Corning Glass introduced their first Pyroceram cookware called Blue Cornflower. Through the years they made many more cookware patterns. In 1970 Corelle was introduced in a white color. These pieces are quite versatile. Besides setting a colorful place setting on the table, they can be used to heat items in the microwave and oven. They also can be washed in the dishwasher. The bowls are marked on the bottom with: Break and Chip Resistant Corelle Made in USA No Stove top or Broiler. There are some very minor scratches from years of gentle use. We are nonsmoking shop/home and there are no odors on these pieces.
