-Set of 3 vintage hand thrown, hand painted plates from T. S. Post Ceramics (Davis, California). -Plates are signed and dated. -Made in 1985. -T. S. Post Ceramics operated from 1981-2010(?). The studio took its name from the owners' own names: Thomas Post (1945-2022) and Sara Post (1946-). -Colors: Shades of green, blue, black, yellow, and pink/peach. -Design: A combination of abstract (geometric) and natural (plant and animal) forms. -Plate material: Earthenware (Redware). -Production method: Hand thrown. -Surface technique: Glazed majolica. -Diameter of each plate is around 8.75 inches. -Each plate weighs around 1 lb and 6 oz. -Plates are in excellent vintage condition, with a very cool 1980s West Coast look and feel. -No chips, scratches, cracks, stains, crazing, etc. Undersides are unglazed, and have a bit of the expected shelf wear. Otherwise, these plates have no issues. -Very clean and ready to use or display!
